Carrie Lee Schwartz

Carrie Lee Schwartz was born New Orleans, LA.. She attended Newcomb College of Tulane Universit y where she studied with Gene Koss and Norman Boothby earning a BFA in glass and Sculpture. She then attended Pilchuck Glass School on scholarship studying with Pino Signoretto, Bill Morris & Jiri Harcuba. She was accepted to the graduate program at Rhode Island School of Design, studying with Bruce Chao and recieved the Graduate Award of Excellence. While at RISD she particpated in the Computers for the Rest of Us IBM / Apple design project for a new computer interface and took the first RISD/ Brown Universty class in Computing and the Arts.
Her works have always been inspired by
nature and man's relation to nature.
Her extensive experience with glass and light painting and sculpture is evident in her current photography and other artistic works.
